Mojo

Mojo by Jez Butterworth was the week nine weekend show in the University of York Drama Society's Autumn 2024 season. I was brought onto the show to play the character of Baby, an unhinged, psychotic man-child.

The role came with various challenges, not least the dancing, singing, and cockney accent. None of which I had really attempted before. But, with the talented team behind the show, I felt confident in pushing outside of my comfort zone, and doing the best my can. My portrayal of Baby earned me the 'Least Likeable Character' award at the DramaSoc Autumn awards, for creating an utterly despicable and traumatised character.
